Honey Thief
In the haze of summer the honeybee curls
'round pollen laden petals.
Into honeycombs I reach
to tongue's delight
and their queen's breach.
I've stolen what I might.
I shouldn't want bees coming home
this mother won't condone.
My sweet tooth begs for all they have
now I'm racing home.

Unfortunately, messing with bees does tend to come with a price.
Satuday we drove by hibernating beehives. We have a couple of beekeepers out our way which explains the visuals. It is bitter cold this morning at 0 degrees and bees are sleeping!
