First Contact

Aspire spent a whole century staring into the vast expanse of space. One eye on her Jupiter ring enfolding her, another at the dark abyss, and the last at a spinning ball with different landscaping. She mooned over her eternity without amusement and companionship. She is independent and wise. Left to drift and absorb the lights of stars and galaxies. She traveled the expanse of the universe and absorbed all the interesting happenings she desired. For fun, she thought shooting stars to the earth and clapped as the spun out and fizzled below. Yesterday she tuned her sensory in to a repeated message to the inhabitants of space.

"Is there life out there? Please send a message with your coordinates."

Aspire smiled, the first one since her creative unit dropped her here to tend this world.

"Yes," she transmitted through her brain waves, "there is life in the galaxy. Prepare a vessel for me with ramen soup and murcurial mud. I will arrive in June."

All three eyes closed and reopened as Aspire focused on the spinning planet below.
