As rays of sunshine fill the sky
you have filled my world with a love so beautiful
let my shoulders be where you lie
when you need a break from every worldly struggle.
I hope you don’t get tired
Of hearing me say I love you
I hope you don’t get tired
Of hearing me say you’re beautiful
I hope you still respond with laughter
When you hear my jokes a million times over
If I smoked all the world’s marijuana
I don’t think it could get me higher.
Higher than you’ve made me
Since when you said yes to me
The apple of my eye
I see love through you
With the gift of your angel’s wings I feel I can fly,
an eagle mocking gravity, soaring through the velvet blue
Love used to be a question
Now it’s an answer that’s you
The season of contemplation
When I pondered life without you,
Has now been replaced with a season of elevation
As I now experience the reality of a love that’s true.
