Poem - The Chapters in My Life

The chapters in my life are like chapters in a book.
Filled with exotic places, each page contains a hook.

Some chapters are filled with sorrow. Still others make me smile.
These chapters take me places, I could walk a million miles.

Every chapter a new beginning, and they always have an end.
Sometimes I grieve the passing of a dream or trusted friend.

Many words already written, and some are yet to be.
I pray for many more chapters filled with friends and family.

What is you story? How will it end? Are all your pages filled?
My advice? Keep writing words until your fate is sealed.

My Process

This is my second day to participate in @mariannewest's 5-minute #freewrite prompt. Since I am still new at this I spent more than 5 minutes (sorry!). I brainstormed for 5 minutes, but then spent additional time improving the cadence and rhyme of the poem.
