Orange blossom
Orange blossoms falling from a tree.
You'd think it was an orange tree but
it wasn't.
It was a yeti tree.
The yeti tree grew blossoms of every sort;
orange, cherry, apple, dogwood, lilac--
any blossom the yeti had ever touched
in its life, the yeti tree grew.
The dog barking.
You'd think it was a regular dog but it wasn't.
It was part hyena. This is what made it
a little mad all the time. The hyena
inside it.
A child crying. Just a regular child, having very
regular child problems. If it got
enough sleep, it would be happier. Like me,
if I got enough sleep, I would be yetier. But
less hyena.
Sighing, crying, laughing, living. Dropping
to the ground and smelling
the fallen blossoms.
Osmanthus fragrans
I feel you. If I don't get enough sleep, I am part hyena too :)

This is such an interesting poem.. Each stanza portraying different section of life. Trees, animal then human.. I love it. And how do you build your SBI so fast? Hehe. Any recipe for that? Lol
