According to Oxford dictionary that "SWEATER - is knitted garment worn on the upper body, typically with long sleeves, put on over the head or a close-knit wool sweater for icy weather."

I have usually worn with a sweater during cold seasons, travels, conferences, and even while sleeping.

Before my parents when they are going to get some Napier grass of our cow and buffalo, they wear sweater too. It is due to the protection from irritation of other plants since there are leaves with thorns.

And every time they will cultivate our farm, they also wear a thin sweater for the protection of the sun that will go directly to the skin. The sweater is the farmer's best friend in our home place.
