Day 11 of Free Write: I Floss my Tears Prompt

This might be one of the toughest prompts that I have come up to up until this point. I took a few minutes to really think about what "I floss my tears" could mean before I began the timer on the amount I could type today. When I hear that saying I think of someone that chooses to hide their feelings and tears. Flossing is always something where it goes in between and very easy to miss. Floss goes between your teeth and it isn't the face value of what you see in a person.

If someone is a person that flosses their tears, then at face-value you will never see tears come from that person. You really have to get to know them to see the "crevices" that they floss their tears to so that people can't really see. Another interpretation that I thought of would be someone that always flosses out any of their imperfections between things, so that when they do cry they floss it out so when they smile no one will have known them to ever cry!

I wouldn't consider myself someone that constantly is flossing their tears by either definition, but I also wouldn't consider myself to be overly emotional either by any means. It really is an interesting way to reflect on how we views ourselves and how we hope others view us.
