Mighty Carl's Story~
The Mighty Carl, as he was known to all but himself, stood alone in his empty forest feeling very down after all these years alone.
He has been so good at disguising himself that no one had eaten him yet!
Unfortunately, that meant he lived in a lonely world always on the run from creatures that wanted to taste him.
He tried dancing to make himself feel better but to no avail. He then went to have a think about what could make his life better.
As Carl was thinking, a stunning, tall, pale yellow creature found him sitting all alone. She came up to him and chatted a bit. I don't know if I can tell you the rest!
Poor Carl never stood a chance!
She showed off her silk tuffs and revealed her neat rows of pale yellow kernels and Carl just swooned for it all.
Little did Carl know that his reputation for being such a great survivalist had spread far and wide. Queen Corn, of the Lava Fields, wanted him for a mate to keep her and the children she would have safe.
Carl really didn't mind. He was just so happy not being alone for a change. He picked up his belongings and followed her to the lava fields.
Queen Corn and the Mighty Carl soon married. They both had fallen in love on the trek back to the fields.
To this day Carl and can be found dancing with his three children every day in that lava field as he shows his children how to behave.

Umm, you may be having a little too much fun Snook, maybe we need to lay off of those mushrooms for a few days lol. Who comes up with dancing worms in a lava field lol. I knew a guy one time that picked up a guitar playing frog hitchhiking to Nashville, this story rates up there pretty close to that one. 😉

Oh yeah, that makes a lot more sense. Now I understand why he was dancing in a lava field, he liked being a Pop! 🙄 I know I know, another corny joke from you know who. I guess you're going to demote me down to a kernel now. 😯 I'm A Mazed that it hasn't happened already, especially after the way that I stalked out on you the other day. Shucks, I'm plumb embarrassed by the way that I've been acting, mealy-mouthed is what my Mom would say. 😏 I promise you right now that when things heat up around here I'll rise to the occasion, there'll be no more half-baked ideas from this loafer. 😎

I'm happy that you're having fun with your new game! I'm feeling drunk from some tasty wine so I'm going to just go along with it. How come Carl and his children haven't popped? shouldn't they be PopCorn by now? Is that really why they are dancing? If they stood in one place too long with their heads explode and then delicious popcorn be all over? GIF's are cute, but this scenario could turn really dark really quick...

That is very strong and gets lonely and a female corn queen comes to find a mate because he is so strong and disrobes a tad, and he falls in love and they live happy ever after :D
there, I took away his camouflage (the brown stuff) but now.......I don't know if he would have lived to see the Queen and have babies........ sniff.....sniff.....sniff :D

Oh, but do @snook... pretty please? Lol, this was such a great little piece for the prompt. I love going through the 5 Minute Freewrite Links channel at The Isle of Write Discord server and opening every one in a separate tab then reading through all of them! They are so surprising and creative and this one really stood out for the clever humor, the wink-nudge of it.

Is this a children's tale? Is this a seizure test? How big is Carl anyway? And if he hid so well, then how did others hear of him? The mind would wander, but it's shying away from the precipice of the piece :P
