This is my entry to the freewrite daily. I am going to continue with my fiction writing.
5 Minute Freewrite - Prompt: Flash
"Amber. I think I am getting tired and you need to drive from here." Mark was feeling sleepy while driving 8 hours straight without taking a break.
"1 more hour mark. I'll drive from there onwards and maybe we can do refill and eat something at nearby motel."
Amber skipped her turn to drive for another hour.
She didn't want mark to notice that part. So she decided to start a discussion about the same.
"Mark don't you think we should have street light on these deserted roads of Utah"
Amber asked question to get his attention away from potential sleep.
"What can we do apart from blaming the government?"
Mark didn't cared about the depth of the topic.
"Mark there is someone in the middle of the road"
Mark pulls up the car. And the man in the middle also stops and looks at the car. It seems the man is covered in the blood. And it seems like he is pointing to something off the road.
Suddenly some black figure walks very quickly in the middle off the road to the other side. Amber looks at that figure as it stops to the other side of the road.
The man in the middle starts running very quickly.
He looks back and yells at us.
"Do not stop flashing the light on me. And do not stop the car for 1 more mile. If you stop the light that thing will catch me and then you. Let me run for few more miles I don't mind. Let's just get out of here."
Amber looks at mark.
"What are you waiting for Mark? Don't stop. Start the engines".

Note: This story is in just draft now. As I have picked up the prompt word and decided to expand the story from there onwards. I am not sure if I ever going to finish this story. But I hope I earn enough steem dollars from here that I can do this full time and proof read and present it properly. As it's current state I am sticking with keeping stories short.
