Marie was sitting alone at her table looking at the glass of wine in front of her, a lot was going through her mind; how could Steve keep treating her this way. The last time they had a date, he kept her waiting for almost two hours before he showed and all he did was apologize all through the dinner, with promises it won't happen again, yet here she is again, sitting at this restaurant for almost an hour bored stiff, yet he just called saying he's just leaving a board meeting.
Marie has had enough of it, things must change, this guy is killing her with boredom, everything about this relationship is just boring, this isn't who she is, she is so full of life, now she is just a shadow of herself. These were the thoughts going through her mind when she heard his voice; "what is a beautifully beautiful woman doing all by yourself, grant me the honour of joining you", and with that he picked up her glass of wine, swallowed it in one gulp and said: "please, let me buy you a drink, my name is Mike by the way".
That was the beginning of a new leaf for her, within the next ten minutes, he had her laughing out her soul, she went from being bored stiff to being super excited within a few minutes, and by the time Steve called her about thirty minutes later to apologize that he can't make the date again, she has already made up her mind to let go and find her true self, to let go of boredom oh sorry Steve, and be happy.

Good for Marie for not sitting by bored out of her mind and settling for Steve's apologies anymore. They'll both be happier in the end.
