Another 5 minutes freewrite: "THE PACT".

Hello and welcome to another 5 minutes free write challenge and once again I throw an open invitation to everybody on the block chain to join this challenge. If you wish to join, then here is today's prompt

The two clans have been at war for as long as any of them could remember, generations after generations the war has lingered, they were all born and told about the war, it was once a full blown war but gradually it has become a silent war, no Ohurutu man will ever interact with an Ngwaratu man, if any of them meet each other along a deserted road the stronger man would kill the weaker man.

The clan chiefs each had a son, and the two little boys once happened to chance upon each other, and became very good friends, but they must keep their friendships a secret, no one must know about it or their secret plan to bring about peace and an end to the war.

After perfecting their plans, they both lured their fathers, the clan chiefs to the Mgboto clave where upon sighting each other a fight started brewing between their fathers, each chief with his warriors were threatening to kill each other, in the midst of the chaos, the little boys climbed up the rock and screamed for their attention.

They told their fathers that they have written a document to ensure that peace would reign between both kingdoms, and any one that kills a member of the other tribe would be killed, the document they said they have engraved on the rock they were standing and to sign it they would use their blood, and immediately both boys slit the artery on their wrists.

Warriors from both villages ran up the rock to save the boys, although they were saved, but the document has been signed with their blood which is the strongest binding item according to their traditions, and thus the pact was signed and even til date peace has continued to reign between both communities and the pact on the stone sealed with blood is still there and still regarded as a valid document.
