Freewrite Daily Prompt Challenge: Some Change

Took a few days to unplug and have some offline time for myself but now I'm back and ready for the next prompt: Some Change! 😁

What is Freewriting? According to @mariannewest:

Freewriting is to set a timer for a certain amount of time and write. Without stopping. Without correcting anything. Without worrying if what we write is good or bad. Nobody cares.

I think of some change in my bag's pocket whenever the itinerant ice cream seller comes around. I want to go buy some of his cold treats with some of my change. Hopefully my few loose coins will help him with his daily needs. Everyday I see these good hardworking people in the streets, in the sidewalk selling their wares under the heat or even sometimes in the rain.

I feel ashamed sometimes because here I am in a comfy chair working from home being lazy while they are out there doing tough work. I wish to follow their example and see my work through and stop dawdling about. Next time he comes around I'm going to grab some change and meet him at our gate and buy what he has.

Maybe I'll have the chocolate flavor but I've had too much chocolate the past few days. I thought I heard him call out buko pandan flavor, I always liked that flavor it's cool and smooth and pleasing to the taste. Just wait for me Mr. Ice Cream Seller, some change is waiting for you when next time you come around our place. I like the thought that some change of mine will bring some change for the better in someone's life.
