Unicorns and Reality

Are unicorns real?
I don't really believe in them but lately I've been meeting people who actually believes they exist! And these are sane and intelligent people. People who have traveled the world and have learned about these so-called myths from the east and west.
Which makes me question. How could different countries hold historical legends of the same creature? Too much for just coincidence.
And if they are real, how will that affect us?
Just my random thoughts. I think of different kinds of things my real life friends have no time to hear. So I'll post them here, hoping someone will talk to me
