A PLACE FOR THE HOMELESS
Hello all, @pasaift here. I happen to be participating in the freewrite for today by @mariannewest. The prompt for today is HOMELESS Do you have no idea what freewrite is about? Click Here to find out.
It's quite disheartening, the number of children you see nowadays that are homeless. Sleeping along roadsides, in parks and sometimes under bridges. These Children were either abandoned at birth or may have ran away from previous residence because of hardship.
MY FREEWRITE
Tunde was once one of these homeless guys. At his early childhood, he lost his parents to a ghastly accident. Because of this, he had to live with his aunt. This Aunt was initially kind, but during the course of time Changed. She was getting old but no suitor came for her. Her fake pastor had told her that the boy was the cause of her problem and he should be brought for deliverance. This she did but still no suitor came. She had believed that Tunde was the cause of her problem and began to treat him harshly. She would lock him up and sometimes he'd go without food. Tunde had enough of this, he was just an innocent youngster who had done nothing wrong.
He decided to runaway and live a free life, rather than to die in that house. This was how he joined the homeless group. To survive, he initially started street begging. He wasn't the lazy type, so he used raised money to start street hawking. Tunde was a hardworking lad, he would try his hand at any business as long as it was not illegal and won't bring harm to any one. Luck did shine upon him as he won a huge sum in his country's lottery programme. Long story short, he invested the money wisely and became a business magnate. He did not forget his roots. He built a large building he named "Tunde's House For The Homeless" to help people who may be going through the same ordeal he faced. @pasaift
