Day 455: 5 Minute Freewrite: Friday - Prompt: church lady
This was his favorite client of the week - Miss Evelyn. Such a wonderful woman, still sharp as a tack, but feeble and slow and very lonely. They would talk and talk about everything - politics, meditation, food, love.
It happened when they were talking about love.
""They were, you know, funny." shuddering slightly as she said this.
He hoped he didn't understand.
"They had these friends who were, um, peculiar. I don't think they really were." again with the shudder.
He had no idea what to say. He was normally careful to steer conversations away from this topic, but with Evelyn he was unguarded, and in it slipped.
"Oh it's time to go!"
He felt dirty.
This is my entry for @mariannewest and @jayna freewrite contest, day 455, church lady.
Note to myself: this time I set the timer for 4:30, typed directly into steampeak, and intended to proofread for only 30 seconds, but I could not stop until at least the glaring mistakes were corrected.
At my age, this is an excellent exercise and a few moments of bliss! Thanks you guys for hosting this!!!
To be sincere with you, you really tried a lot in here, with time you're going to get more and more better.
