5 minute freewrite - No Added Sugar
Hi guys, Whenever you talk about maintaining a good diet, the first thing you're told is to decrease your sugar intake. Some people even go ahead to recommend sugar free foods. I see some products labelled no added sugar or sugar free or unsweetened.

But sometimes when I take this no sugar added foods, It still tastes sweet, so what does it really mean? Does it contain sugar or not? I read somewhere that just because a food is labelled "no sugar added" doesn't mean it contains low sugar, it can still taste sweet too.
I remember when my grandma was still alive, she went to the hospital one time and the doctor told her to cut down on her sugar intake. Did she listen? Hell no!! She said sugar can't kill her and she's going to take it till she dies and she did. She lived till 85 or so, cant really remember. Most people avoid these things and die before 80 while most take it and still live, life is so complicated 😥😥😥
But can we really do without sugar? I find it difficult to believe those products that claim to have low sugar because natural foods contain sugar and some manufacturers go right ahead to add sweeteners when they process these foods especially fruit juice, I mean fruits are sweet so why add sugar while making the juice? 😏😏
I still believe too much sugar can kill though so... We all should be careful with how much of it we consume..
Enjoy your evening 💞💞

Oh yes. Sugar is good, but can be very bad for you. I was a pastry chef for my career and ate tons of the stuff. Now I hardly eat any, mostly because I no longer bake and only my own stuff tastes good enough.
Nice freewrite. Catch ya again sometime
Thanks

I think if we eat sweets in its natural form - like in a fruit - we are probably okay. But at least here in the US, sugar is added to all kinds of foods that really don't need any. Kids already develop Diabetes - so sad.
I think so too..
