Langis At Tubig/ Oil And Water
Ang katayuan ng isang tao ay maihambing sa tubig at langis
Pag-isahin man at halo nag maige
Hinding Hindi ito mahahalo
Tulad ng pagmamahal ng isang mahirap
Sa taong may kakayahan sa buhay
At malaki ang balakid matupad ang hinahangad.
Hindi pwdeng ipaglaban dahil mababa
Ang tingin ng mga mayayaman sa mga mahirap
Lilitaw ang langis at papailalim ang tubig
Magkadikit minsan ngunit kahit kailan
Hanggang doon lang ang mararatnan
Lalo na ay mataas ang pride
At mababa ang tingin sa kapwa
Walang silbi ang pagpapahalaga
Sa mga taong isang kahig at isang dukha
Ganyan ang katotohanan
Sa buhay ng mahirap at mayaman*
Naalala ko noon ako ay nasa kolehiyo, akoy 16 years old, may mayaman nagkagusto matanda sa akin ng 20 years at siya at engineer. Kahit gusto ko siya pinigil ko sarili ko kasi wala pag-asa. Mata pobre ang magulang niya. Mayroon siya kotse, niyaya ako sasakay pero, ginusto kong maglakad baka dalhin ako sa kahit kung saan-saan. Dahil ako ay mahirap, naisip ko kung may gagawin siya sa akin at sigurdong ibasura lang ang tulad ko. Hindi nil alam ang pagmamhal ng isang mahrap ay totoo at tunay.
English Translation:
A person's status can be compared to water and oil
Combine and mix together it can never be
Like the love of a poor man
To the person who has everything
There is a big obstacle to fulfill their desires
Can't fight because it has no value
The view of the rich on the poor!
The oil will appear and the water will go under
Stick together sometimes but never
That's all the reality for the poor and rich
Especially when the pride is high
They look down on others side
Appreciation is useless
To those who are poor and poorest
The life of the poor and the rich
Has no realization for the best.
I remembered when I was in college, I was 16 years old, a rich man who was 20 years older than me liked me and he was an engineer. Even though I wanted him, I stopped myself because there was no hope. His parents dont lime poor. He had a car, he invited me for a ride but, I preferred to walk so afraid he could take me anywhere. Since I am poor, I wondered if he would do something to me . Surely, he just throw away someone like me. They never know that the love of the poor people is true and genuine.
