Free Write Weekend Promt Mother
This is my post for #freewriteweekend prompt Mother...
This being Easter weekend I want to write about the one person that is my Savior that person is my Mother. When my kids were small, times were hard. We raised 5 kids, on what we made fishing. When we had bad weather or there was nothing to catch. My mother would help us out. We have never been on food stamps or received a government check. I do not know how we would have made it if it wasn't for her. She held the mortgage on our house and would let us be late on the payment in the hard times. She has even paid our light bill and bought food for us. We always paid her the mortgage payments and made sure to pay her back for the light bill, and she never once got upset at us. I appreciate all she did for us. We ended up paying the house off and that was a great feeling. Then the kids grew up and one by one moved out, some moved out multiplied and moved back in. But eventually they were all out on their own. Now fast forward several years, and my Mother is having hard times, but she is still my Savior, but now I get to help her out. Every time I see her I slip her some money, she never wants to take it but I remind her of all the times she helped us and I tell her it is my time to help her. I went to see her yesterday, all I had on me was 40 dollars and gave it to her, she did not want to take it but finally did. The she told me what happened to her the day before, she had one of her great grandsons with her and went to Wal Mart to pick up some things. She said she had some gift cards that each one had a few dollars on them, the cashier tried each one but none would work, so she said she knew she had a few dollars in the bank but her debit card would not work, she asked the cashier if she could set the things aside and she would go to her car and get her checkbook. A man checking out at the next register overheard everything and walked over to Moms register and told the cashier he would pay for everything, he tried his card and it would not work so he carried all Moms stuff to the next register and paid for it. It was the swiping machine that was broke but the man would not let Mom use her card. After leaving there she went to Mc Donalds to get her great grandson a happy meal to take to the park with them, she had enough change in her car to pay for it and her a drink she went to hand the cashier the change and the cashier told her that the car in front of her paid for her order. My Mother is very religious and gave praise to our Lord for taking such good care of her. I love you Mom, and Happy Easter everyone at #freewrite.

@wonderwop thank you for her blessing, Happy Easter
A wonderful story, @myjob. Your mother is a sweetheart.
My mother has been gone for 32 yrs and I think of her often. It’s like a video recording unwinds in your head and you are back in her company reliving a moment in time.
Thanks for Easter greetings. Happy Easter to you and yours. ☦️
@redheadpei thank you I agree about my Mom. I lost my Dad over 20 years ago, even though he was a strict Father I still miss him. I know what you mean about the video recording rewinding.
It's so encouraging when people take the time to be NICE!
@scribblingramma yes and she had it happen 2x in one day. amazing
Your mom is an amazing person! :)
@blacklux I agree, she is my rock.
What a wonderful story of a lovely lady, @myjob. You are both lucky to have each other.
Please keep trying and being consistent here. You are just what we need. Never be afraid to ask questions. Try things and stop them if they do not work for you. I know you will succeed in STEEM as you have in life :)
@fitinfun I love steemit, mostly because of the people who are on it. On FB everyone seems to be about the me factor, here everyone wants to help help each other. Just a very nice place to be.
It really is! Hard as it might be, it is 100% worth the effort for me :)
