Free Write prompt I'm Blessed

This is my post for #freewrite by @mariannewest Wednesday prompt I'm Blessed...
It is funny that I'm blessed is the prompt today. My husband went to town to buy us new pumps and hoses for our boats and when he came home, I was outside working on our pig fish traps. He walks up and says "you know we are blessed to have been born here instead of down in a jungle" I knew better than to ask what he was talking about but I asked, and he says "if we were born down there, we would not think twice about eating those big grubs that live in rotting trees". I have no clue as to why this came to his mind. But then he says "I bet they say the same about us when they think about eating an oyster", I tell him yes they would look at an oyster and say look at all that black shit in their gut, no way am I eating that thing. He says, "have you seen how fat those grubs are, their gut is full of shit and they just swallow them". I had to agree.
I have often thought about how blessed I am, not just me but everyone that lives in the here now. Have you ever thought about the shit your ancestors had to have went through for you to be here? Going way back in time the right person had to survive for you to have life today. Think about it. Don't you feel blessed? If your great great, on and on with greats, if one of them died, Man or woman, you would not exist. when I think back as how hard of a life my ancestors had, I do not feel like I live a hard life, yes my work is hard and never ending but I have it easy compared to what they went through. If you go back just 100 years life was harder than it is today, but we complain about life being hard now a days. It is not we just perceive it to be. So change the way you think and feel blessed.
