Prompt: After Midnight
Single Prompt Option
Was it after midnight, or before? Nobody is quite sure. 30 years has passed and uncertainty still looms.
Does it matter that much? It just means that the celebration is a day later, or earlier, than it should be. My parents are not sure. Dad thinks it was before midnight, but my Mum thinks it was after.
It is possible that it was exactly on the stroke of twelve o'clock? Perhaps we will never know. There is no time machine hiding away to help us.
It doesn't matter, and I should be grateful that this didn’t happen on New Years Eve; otherwise, I wouldn't even know what year I was born.
