On global — freewrite

Global.

When I was visiting two newlywed friends of mine in Paris, I noticed they had a globe on display.
Over the oceans and lands, in cursive lettering were their two names, with a heart.
A wedding present.
A global wedding present.

Now, I’m traveling alone. Searching for a place of greater safety while reading a book, called “A Place of Greater Safety” — about the French Revolution.
I’m interested in history.
Globally.

I have never been to Africa, but I have a friend in Barcelona who told me of her time there (South Africa, near cape town), of the beauty and the dangers she faced. It’s crazy how different life is based on where a soul is born.

I always thought that before I was a baby, I chose my mama, but maybe I chose my happy little corner of the globe, maybe both.
