Freewrite 5 min prompt: Wet

I have been sharing some of the most beautiful and precious moments of my childhood for almost all the topics discussed here so far and here I will talk about another such a beautiful memory. When we were kids we would anxiously wait for rain and would ask our parents about any possibility of rain. Whenever it would rain in summer we would block the sanitation system in our home by filling all the holes stopping the flow of water out of our home. The blockage of water would create a sort of pool from rainwater in our yard and we used to swim in it.

We would also invite friends would move around with them running in the water in the wet clothes and swimming in the water in the streets with the friends. The wet clothes would give us a lot of relief from the scorching heat. Even elders would be seen swimming in the nearby ponds to get relief from the blazing sun and summer. Running around in the wet clothes was a great childhood enjoyment.
