Freewrite 5 min prompt: Travel
Travelling is always a fun activity to do especially if you are going with your family and friends to spend some leisure time together. In the previous posts, I mostly narrated some of the childhood stories but today I am going to break that sequence by taking you to my university time. The incident I am going to tell you is the funniest incident ever happened in front of my eyes I think.

The Semester coordinator who was the in charge of all the extra-curricular activities in university informed us that all the fourth-semester students will be going to the historical city of Lahore for a study plus fun tour. We were very delighted, went to a lawyer and submitted the stamp paper with the semester coordinator. On the 17th March 2014, we left for Lahore to spend a week there.
You may be thinking where is the funny incident?
Let me tell you Just as we entered the city of Lahore, we saw an old man selling black glasses. My friend who was sitting next to me told me that he is going down to get the glasses. By chance, the university vehicle also stopped there and he went down to buy the glasses. I was observing the scene and was laughing like I have never laughed before. As my friend enquired the old man about the price, the old man said that it requires 500 Rupees (Pakistani currency) to buy a single pair of glasses. My friend however offered to pay only 400 Rupees. The old man agreed and gave him the glasses and asked him to pay the price, however, my friend sensing that the price is still high reduced his offer to 300. The old man even agreed with 300 Rupees price and asked my friend to pay. My friend again said that he cannot pay 300 and would pay only 200 Rupees. The old man said,” okay, pay me 200”. My friend came to know that even this is a high price and reduced his offer but this time the old man was not ready to reduce the rates and started a physical fight with my friend. They got hold of each other and in the meantime the old man got a 200 Rupees note out of his pocket and ran away.
There were many funny incidents we have to encounter during our journey to Lahore but I think this was the funniest incident.
I am so bad with bartering!! It was not anything you ever would do in the German culture - maybe now, it is, I don't know.
It is same here, mam. I am bad too.
