The flower
In the cold darkness she slumbers silent and peaceful.
As the dawn breaks and the first rays of light fall upon the land, the warmth from those rays slowly wake her from her slumber.
As she wakes she stretches, slowly spreading out, allowing that which was hidden in the darkness of night to now lay visible for all to see.
Who knew something so small could be so beautiful.
In the light she stands tall, basking in the warmth of the day.
But as the day comes to an end, slowly she closes, once again hiding her beauty from the world.
Falling once again back in a deep slumber.
