Day 797: 5 Minute Freewrite: Thursday - Prompt: haters will be haters

Hate is an emotion and as such is not an antipode of love, but rather another pole of it. At times, hate and love are very close. One moment you are all lovie dovie with your girlfriend or wife and the other minute she spills the coffee in your car and you really are contemplating choking her.

The real antipode of love is indifference. I remember having a panic attack in a car. For those who don’t know how it feels – it feels like you are about to die. These were no cell phones back then. Well, at least I didn’t have one. So, I stopped the car and started waving my hand hoping that someone will notice, and will call the paramedics. But no one stopped. Obviously, they had their own business to attend. Who cares why some idiot is waving his hand?

I wonder if it was a person who really hated me. What would he or she do? Maybe they’d stopped their car and enjoy seeing me dying? What would I have done?
Am I saying that being a hater is better than being indifferent? I don’t know. I guess this depends on the situation.
