Weekend Freewrite - 4/28/2018 - Single Prompt Option : BOOKS
BOOKS IS MY COLLECTION
When all the other girls collect bags, shoes, dresses and cosmetics, me? YES! I collect books! Or shall I say I hoard books! Nah, I am not guilty of it. It's fun to collect and see books all over the house. Got to see books cluttered around my place is happiness to me.
I love books! Since I was young I always love to read and buy books. I made sure when I started working that I will get to pick up books during payday and read them before I sleep or kill time or during break at work. I believe books enable you to develop the following :
- sense of imagination - You get to practice your braincells on imagining things.
- vocabulary stocks - You get to gather different words and understand its meaning due to its usage on the book.
- communication skills - You don't read books as if you are plainly reading. When you read conversation, you automatically put in the needed emotion of the lines and get to reinact the scene in your mind, thus, developing how the lines are delivered
- emotional connectivity - We learn to connect with the characters and understand their emotional journey on the story. For some reason we smile or laugh reading those punchlines or cry when we read about heartbreaks. Would you agree?
There are so many things we can get on reading book. Forgot to mention that when you are a wide reader of books you are consider a powerhouse on vocabulary, not me yet hahahaha...

I love books!! And I read all the Sue Grafton books as well!! Seems that you like mysteries. I read all of Agatha Christie and loved them. Also, do you know about LibriVox? They are audiobooks read by volunteers of books which are in the public domain. I like to listen a lot and love the Father Brown mysteries :)
