Freewrite: My Grade 10 Journey

Hello there Steemit community! I would like to share to you my Grade 10 journey as a Junior High School student.

In every school year, it covered 10 months in a whole year. These 10 long months in school we make friends, learn new lessons, pass obstacles and challenges and many more to encounter, for short, making new memories. We laugh, we smile, and even cry in these months in school because of some situations that may happen. But all of these are worth it to be part of our everyday chapter.

Last April 8, 2018,(Philippine timezone), I already graduated as a completer of the Junior High School journey in preparation for Senior High School curriculum. My grade 10 journey was really hard and at the same time, worth a memorable one. We've been through ups and downs, joy and sadness as well. There are lot of things and memories made. Those singing riff offs that filled with laughters and joys are the highlights of the journey I can say.

Now let me share to you some of my most unforgettable memories during those days.

For the month of JUNE

This month is our first month for the school year.

Black Themed Friday

In this picture, we took this during our first Friday of the school year where we planned what color of the shirt we're going to wear and we decided to wear black shirts.

June 19, 2017: The Adviser's Birthday Surprise

This was the time where we surprised our adviser during her 22nd birthday. We wore red since it is her favorite color.

For the month of JULY

THE TWO TEAMS

This was taken by our adviser for our activity in our English subject where we divided ourselves into two teams: Royal Immaculatarians and Jejelites. Where we perform our yells and do our assigned tasks.

The Dismissal Pictorial

I can't think of any title for this picture but I can remember that this was taken after our photoshoot as Greek characters (not to mention the picture, I do not have them saved in my phone.) for our English project. This was taken during our dismissal time.

Nutrition Month Culmination: The Nutri-Jingle Contest

This is one of the highlights in every school year here in the Philippines, the Nutrition month celebration every month of July. It is where students learned the importance of health and nutrition in our everyday lives. As part of the celebration, each grade curriculum was assigned to every contests like nutri-jingle, nutri-dance, and many such contests that happened. In high school, we were assigned for the Nutri-jingle contests. It was kind of unfortunate for us because one of my classmates met an accident the day before the contest. Luckily we were able to make it.

For the month of AUGUST

In the Philippines, August is the month of celebration for the "Buwan ng Wika" or National Language Month. It is where our national language, Filipino, is prioritized to be spoken. Just like the Nutrition month, there are said activities to be done in the culmination. I joined the essay writing contest and the extemporaneous speaking where I won the 2nd place and received a medal for it.

Meet Japanese Friends

This month also is where we met Japanese exchange students from Japan and stayed within us for a week or two. As a celebration for their "despedida", we had a boodle fight where they tried eating using hands and eat Filipino dishes. Gladly, they liked it and find it so delicious.

For the month of OCTOBER

It is where we celebrated the World's Teacher's Day. In our school, we hold the very highlight of the school year, the Sports Fest.

We surprised our dear adviser with a cake and balloons as a celebration for her day. Yiii love lots.

Sports Fest 2017: The Playground Demonstration Contest.

Cheerdance and Playground Demo are alternately done every other year. So for this year, we were preparing for the Playground Demo. The grade 9 & 10 are merged together and had the theme from the movie "The Purge". With our performance, we won the First Place.

for the month of DECEMBER

This was the time where we had our field trip and the most awaited, Christmas Party!! Hooray!

Field Trip -slash- Filmmaking

Yes, you read it right. We filmed ourselves during the trip for our project in MAPEH. And we wore our batch shirts to be known as Solstice.

For the month of March

This month is the 10th month of the school year where we say our farewells to our school, teachers, classmates, friends, or even our crushes. Nahhh, we students cant deny that.

A Lunch with Both Campuses

It was the time after our recollection where we had lunch at Papsy's Barbeque together with the General Maxilom campus students. This is our bonding as well.

for the month of APRIL

The graduation month. This month is the time where we already graduated and said our farewells for the last time. Our graduation was held in Cebu City Sports Club during April 8, 2018.

That is me wearing the best OOTD of the school year. Finally! I completed my high school journey with flying colors. I graduated with the award of second honorable mention in with honors. I finally achieved my goal for this school year. And I am ready to take my step for the senior high school life.

So that's my highschool memorable events I cannot forget. We just have to be strong and always have faith in God for ua to be successful. We just have to believe and motivate ourselves and we can make it to the top. Though it is hard for us to face some challenges, we should face it with all the courage and faith we have in us and boom! Success is waiting for you. Just never give up and never lose hope in yourself.
