Been busy lately with my work aside from the fact that I seem to lost interest in writing (LOL), I think time really comes when you will feel bored in what you are doing.

Anyhow, I’m grateful I’ve come across once again with @iyanpol12 post as his entry to @ mariannewest, 5-Minutes Freewrite Challenge which inspire me to write since I find the prompt of the day a bit simple.

Well, while he has an awesome entry mine will be just something like a story, a simple story that relates to the prompt of the day.

So here we go with my entry:

~ FINGERNAIL ~

I am used to having short fingernails since I was small, I remember my mother would really get angry if we don’t cut our nails.

So I cut my fingernails habitually until today. That means from Elementary to High School to College and until I got married and have a regular job until this time where I am already working abroad.

I don’t remember any single time wherein I let my fingernails grow and have it long for a span of time.

I find those long nails unhygienic even with girls. I do appreciate girls who have short fingernails.

Now that I already have kids, I also wanted them to cut their nails short. And so they complied. I mean 4 of them.

Unfortunately one of them, really likes to have long fingernails. This is one of the reasons why my son and his mom argued because he won’t really follow every time he is instructed to cut his fingernails.

Although it looks aseptic because he is trying to keep it clean but the fact that it is long is something that I and my wife don’t really like.
