Weekend Freewrite - Single Prompt Option Prompt: A kiss

Love is a beautiful thing. First love, most times looked like the best thing that will ever happen to man. But then, it's fatal and often leads to the greatest disappointment sometimes as it may be a one-sided love without balance. I remember how I approached my first love. As a teenager, I just wanted to feel among and present a girl I could call my girlfriend.
Many times before now, my friends had mocked me, joked about my failure of not getting a girlfriend, who'll dated me afterall I thought but how do I find out without trying. I'm only free talking to my boys, with the girls it's just a casual "Hi". One day, I picked up courage to talk to a girl I had crush on. Her name is Grace. I went to school this day, and all through the morning session of classes, I was there physically but absent in mind. All I could think of was how to set the perfect moment and the words I'll say to convince her that what I feel for her is a genuine kind of love... I planned it all for the breakfast session at 11:20 am.
At the last class period, something happened. Mr. John, our class teacher came in to call the class register... As he started, I was in my thinking mood, I listen vaguely as he calls the names, soon I heard him call a name, thought it was mine, I jumped at it and Answered. Laughter erupted and our class teacher looked at me stunned, but I looked at Grace direction she wasn't laughing instead she frowned and I saw her caution her friend, Judith, beside her to stop laughing. I felt embarrassed but in my heart I felt hope, Maybe she liked me afterall. I had failed myself for a stupid reason, how will I face Grace now after this embarrassing moment, well this could also be a good reason to approach her now.
When it was breakfast session, students went out one by one. My friends came to call on me to cheer up and not allow what happened spoil my mood, they invited me to come along for breakfast, I just told them I wouldn't be going out, they persuaded me but I was adamant and soon it was clear, so they left. I buried my head on my desk and was thinking and drawing out plans in my head about hope to approach Grace after my embarrassing moment.
Lo and behold, someone touched me asking "Are you okay?" I looked up and it was Grace Ooooh! My heart skipped a beat, At first I lost composure, my face was flushed with mixed emotions but I think I did manage it well and we got off talking and soon we became close friend and at a house party organised by a friend, I got a kiss, my first kiss from Grace. 😘😘
