5 Minute Freewrite: Carnival Candid
“Jacob you blithering idiot! Get down from there!”
Jacob had a way of always including himself in Demises own court. “But it’s beautiful up here!” Jacob wailed like a youth. “Come on Garry, you should come see!”
Garry protested by bringing himself inside the pleasantly less dangerous cage of the Ferris wheel. “When you wanted me to bring you to the carnival you should’ve mentioned you had a thing for heights. And for heights without a harness around your buffoonion butt!”
This kind of thing kept Jacob feeling alive though. The lights all splayed in their grandest of composition. That was what drew Jacob to love these heights. All the more for him to climb up on top.
Today Freewrite. I wanted to try and go a bit lighter and happier. I hope I set that tone! Thank you for the fun @mariannewest
The stunts with heights always scare me
Even just to watch them, climbing towers, bridges, minarets .... shudder

!help.One of my least favorite rides is the ferris wheel. When I was in kindergarten, your Uncle Mark and I got stuck on the top of a very high ferris wheel. I was terrified and the boy in the middle, a neighbor at the time, kept swinging the seat back and forth. Mom and Dad were way down on the ground looking up saying, "It's okay, it's okay!" but all I can remember is thinking, and saying, "Get me off of this thing!" Nice freewrite!
