5-Minute Freewrite Challenge - Warrior

A warrior is someone that fights a battle. So I believe that qualifies my sister. Well it did at one time. You see, she had a kidney problem. She was on dialysis. Everyday she had to do this, twice a day. If you have never seen any that had to do dialysis, then it is not a very pretty sight. A machine will take the blood out of your body, process it and put it back in again. I watched her do it once. It was too much for me to bear, especially when the day that she had to do it in the back of a van. I guess anyone with dialysis has to put up with the same thing, but when it's close to home, it just sticks with you more. Thankfully those days are behind us.
My sister got a kidney donated to her. It was donated by me. We just happen to have the right stuff, everything matched for us. This was in 1995 and things are still looking good. I just saw her again last month and she looks fine, and I'm doing well, except for a little weight issu
