Sleep - Freewrite
I can hear the ticking of the clock that sits on the corner of my desk. It's a round, white, analog clock with black hands.
An old antique I found cheap at the local thrift shop.
Turning on my side I look to see what it says.
4:05 a.m.
There are only a few hours now from which I can actually get some sleep. Don't think about it.
There's no reason not to sleep. Sleep now.
Nothing unusual is going on. Sleep and wake rested.
I'm laying in my comfortable king size bed like I do every night.
Large soft pillows support my head from all sides.
Tomorrow I will get up and go to work like I do everyday. It's boring and hectic but it pays the bills.
I won't be able to make it through the day though if I don't get some sleep tonight. Please fall asleep.
I don't understand what's happening. Why can't I sleep?
Trudging over to the computer desk I turn on the system hear the fans start up. I surf over to Youtube and look for some relaxing music to listen to.
In the next room my roommate shuffles around and then turns on the microwave. What is he cooking there in the kitchen at 5:00 in the morning?
An hour passes and I hear my other roommate waking up for work. It looks like I'm not going to get any sleep tonight after all.
Turning on the shower I decide I'll go ahead and wash up for work. No rest for the weary.
The water is lukewarm and soothing as I lather soap all over my chest.
Beep. Beep.
It's too loud. Shhhh. I'm tired. I don't want to get up for work.
I must be sleeping in a really awkward position because my neck hurts pretty bad. I don't remember getting into bed at all.
Looking around I realize that I am laying in the shower. A trail of blood mixes with the water running down the drain.
I guess I slept a bit after all.
These are getting harder to do in 5 minutes.

Great plot twist.. 5 minutes, that's amazing.
You can't rush it to sleep, if you can't sleep get up and think of not sleeping instead, then watch tv or surf the net a bit u ll get sleepy. That's the trick works every time
