Fourth - Freewrite

We hadn't been on the surface of the asteroids for very long.

They were originally designed to be habitable like small planets.

At first there were nothing more than breathable areas like oxygen domes.

These oxygen domes were full of computer equipment so that people could get work done while they were stationed there.

As time went by more and more people came to like the idea of visiting these hunks of rock.

Each individual asteroid became sponsored by a big brand name.

You had the Coca Cola asteroid which was full of different types of sodas to try.

There was the Nestle asteroid which was full of chocolates and different types of waters.

You had an amusement park asteroid which was always a good time.

Each one of these asteroids was also labeled with a number.

Coca Cola was asteroid 0108. Nestle was asteroid 0302.

There was only one asteroid that was never picked up by one of these brands. It was simply called the Fourth.

There was something strange about that asteroid.

No matter how many different types of lighting equipment were installed it was always completely dark.

It was as if light could not exist there.

If you were to sit down in a small room on asteroid Fourth and attempt to write something positive it would always come out sounding negative.

There was a bad omen surrounding Fourth. No one ever wanted to go there.

The initial expedition to Fourth was sent out to set up some oxygen domes. Typical thing to do. Half of the expedition was dead by the next day. Causes unknown.

The entire cosmos is littered with asteroids that everyone wants to go visit.

Asteroids are the new fun thing to do.

All except for one of these asteroids.

No one really talks about it anymore......... but no one ever goes there that's for sure.

Asteroid Fourth.

Make sure to remove it from your nav drive if you ever go for a trip through the galaxy.
