Big Waves: 5-Minute Freewrite Challenge
Wednesday morning here, and I am glad to participate for 5-Minute Freewrite Challenge again, which was organized by @mariannewest. I actually saw he new prompt at midnight but decided to post it this morning because I have to rest at that time. Now, he prompt is "Big Waves", so here it is.
I am living close to the beach. About a kilometer away actually, and last night, I can hear the waves of the beach. Gladly, it wasn't what it was before when I can hear the waves every morning. I am scared of possible storm surge as big waves will hit the land surfaces of our town.
Ten years ago, an earthquake happened in our town. It got me scared. In the evening, some people close to the beach evacuated because the waves reached their homes. They are claiming that it is possibly a tsunami after the earthquake during daytime. It got me scared. Then I saw from the news that it is not tsunami, rather a storm surge.
Then the tsunami in Japan happened as big waves hit the land. It got me scared again. Then years after, storm surge cause by a supertyphoon in Visayas region happened. This got me scared being an inhabitant in a coastal town. I just hope such disaster will not happen. There are some signs posted in the beach when tsunami might happen. But it would be better for it not to happen, or else it will kill a lot of people. Praying for safety of everyone.

its good tsunami not come because i seen on tv and its scary and it damage things so its good it will not happen and we always prevent safety too..

When my kids lived right next to the beach, I was scared too that a Tsunami might come our way. We live in earthquake country as well....
