Beach Towel (5-Minute Freewrite Challenge)

Dennis is a widow, as his wife passed away from a debilitating disease. Left with him is his son, who is still very young when his mom died. They lived in a landlocked town, as Dennis has a wide farm he manages.

His farm has been his hobby too in order to move on from his wife's death. His son is already schooling, and brings and fetches him from school, but all the time, his maid is the one taking care of him. His harvest is going well, that he spends more time by building more storage houses.

One evening, he had dreamed of his wife telling him to take care of their son. He was awakened in tears, and realized he doesn't spend some time with his son, and wanted to take him out for a trip. In the morning, he decided not to go to his farm, and talked to his son. He asked hin out where does he want to go, and his dad will do so. His son, who's name is Daniel, wanted to go to the beach because he's never been there. Then Dennis agreed.

That day, he took his son to the mall to shop for things they will need. He bought some swimming outfits for them, beach towels, inflatables, and of course, foods. Afterwards, he took his son to the theater where they watched Star Wars.

That day has come when they have to go for the trip, Dennis woke up early to prepare, then woke his son up. They went out for the travel, and Daniel is very excited. When they got there, Dennis told his son, "I love you son, I promise I will take care of you". Daniel responded by giving his dad a hug.

They now worn their swimming outfits. The two had enjoyed together. They tried out banana boat ride, and para-sailing, and they build sandcastle in the shore. After that, the ground shook as the sandcastle collapse. The water from the sea moved back. Familiar of what will happen, Dennis carried his son, and ran. People are now panicking and ran, and Dennis stumbled hugging his son so people won't step on him. He struggled but tried his best to get up so he can run.

The water from the sea began to push through the shore, and caught some people running. The tidal wave is pretty strong that it splashed and killed a lot of people already. Dennis ran as fast as he can while carrying his son. He looked for a high place to seek refuge. The waves are too fast that it reached the city area.

Dennis then tried hard to save his son. They got to an elevated area. However, there's a post that's about to fall down. Dennis saw it and pushed his son, and struck the former and died.

20 years later, Dennis is speaking in an event where he commemorated about his dad. He is an agriculturist, and helping the farmers. Thus, he continued what his dad has started.
