5 Minute Freewrite Monday Prompt: cougar

They called her names before! But it was always just to tease her. Afterall, they were her friends and friends sometimes tease each other. That's very common so it had never affected her before. But, today, she called her something else. SOmething tht she had never heard before. Something she couldn't imagine her friends would call her that.

Cougar Life

Of course, they didn't knew that she was in the other cubicle next door. They thought she was out with the other guy and had left home. They thought ! And they finally said out loud what they thought of her.

HER FRIENDS !

HER DAMN SO CALLED CLOSE FRIENDS !

Friends whom she bought presents for every Christmas and Birthday.
Friends whom she would pay for their share of the meal whenever they were low on cash.
Friends whom she would clean up their homes for after a heavy drinking night.
FRIENDS !

She stood at side of the railing. She could actually see the street lights below if she leaned just a bit to the left. The sounds of the sirens and the lights from the police car didn't bother her at all. Nothing else but the repeated voice of her friends calling her.

She opened her arms wide as if she was flying and flung her entire body over the railing. She was falling and she felt free.

THE COUGAR IS COMING, YOU DUMB BLONDS !

Arrgh.... She hit something hard and sharp. Opening her eyes, she saw that she had fallen onto a rescue net that the fireman had set up just before she jumped.

Many thanks to @mariannewest and @freewritehouse for bringing me along in this magnificent journey. Through them, I have found back my desires to write, be it fiction, freewrite, true or make-belief. I have evolved myself into more than just a reader. Unlike in the past, where I would stick my nose into a book and be amazed with the creations of others, now I'm able to share my own creations to the world.

My first freewrite prompt was : Time. Since then, I've never looked back. Just like the song Let It Go by Idina Menzel, when one start to write, the words just keeps flowing out continuously.
