The prompt is
"a little extra challenge for you using a picture again. this is by @byn's daughter @loliboofae"
And so we begin.
Earth.
It has a lot of thoughts. Every being with two neurons to rub together has
THOUGHTS
Most of them are ...
essential thoughts, like
soft, cold, hungry, sleepy
Most of them are sleepy.
Most things are sleeping.
But enough, a few of them proportionately, but a lot of them in quantity
are wild.
Wild thoughts.
Thoughts of things that have never been, might never be.
In fact, never can be, because
Thoughts have so much and so little detail at once, that
the world
the Earth
cannot replicate them in reality
Not the way we know it at least.
Unless.
Unless there's truly another dimension, another
way that things can be. Maybe nothing is but what is not.
Maybe all we are are thoughts.
And our thoughts are another things that is.
To us, our thoughts exist for an instant, but in that instant worlds are born, aeons pass, they live and rise and poof
out of existence.
And so, and so on
And so are we, then?
We are thoughts. We contain multitudes.
But poof
out of existence.
Find something solid. Question it. This thing dreaming us dreams in such vivid detail.
We're a good simulation of being.
The thing simulating us is an even better simulation of being.
But there are cracks.
Like thoughts. I think thoughts.
That's a crack
I think, therefore I might not be.
A super-psychedelic write for an already super-psychedelic picture. So many thoughts, passing so fast - all of who we are, including what we don't remember or realise. Very 'thoughtful' penning indeed mate ;)
Thank you!
Yes. I love this, beautiful poem, very...strange. It reminded me a bit of Dylan Thomas. I loke the way your mind spins on paper.
Wow, Thanks! I love Dylan Thomas! Or at least what I know of him: Under Milk Wood and A Child's Christmas in Wales.
:) I love him too. I was thinking Under Milk Wood, 'cause you gave me the same sense of real people that does...I don't know how to explain it exactly...I've always thought you have to hear Dylan (or read him) to understand.
Truly provoking thoughts. We can spin in these conjectures of dreams and ponderings. Well spoken.
Cool... your writing makes me think and imagine of something.
While reading it looks more like a rap lyrics, do you mind adding an hip-hop beat to this under some super mystical or psychedelic artist e. g Lady Gaga.
Please feel free! I'd love to hear someone rap this!
I love the spinning thoughts just as if they all came together. Very nice! I'm here to forward you the latest post in the Five-Minute Freewrite: https://steemit.com/freewrite/@mariannewest/day-189-5-minute-freewrite-thursday-prompt-cane
