Drink Drink
Time for a relaxing pint.
The pub, dark mahogany. Unlabeled bottles behind. Dark brown, light brown, clear.
Those are your choices of alcohol. Or beer.
From a hot pot on a potbellied stove? Or over an open fire, in a cauldron, essentially, a red mulled wine.
Mulberry wine.
Garman finds a pint in front of her. A dirty rag...leather. Beside it. A meaty hand leaning on it.
"Drink, if you don't want them to see you. No one sees a drinker. But they all note each other when they don't drink."
She drinks. It burns. There's a woody smokiness from the tankard.
A hand goes to her purse. She catches its pinky, twists just enough to stop it, not so much to cause its possessor to cry out in pain. It hurries away. She never looked at the thief. He won't remember her.
"You don't want to be seen, fine."
Did you write that drinking?
I did not! It's midafternoon here! Not that I'm judging anyone else's decisions, but I need to go to work in a few hours, so I don't drink midday. ;)
I thought you drank the inspiration, that's why!!
I'm having tiny tipple of inspiration atm.
Darn! I wanted the thief to cry out in pain! I love this part: "Drink, if you don't want them to see you. No one sees a drinker. But they all note each other when they don't drink."

I see you.
