Stream of Consciousness -5minutefreewrite, Comedy Open Mic Round 41
A burning question began to grow stronger in my heart day by day. "is there anything missing...
Anything at all that would make you question my love for you?"
"There is nothing, except... well, except..."
"Except what? I've accepted everything! Well, except..."
"Yes, exactly. Except..."
"Except..."
Belmont.
There was a dog. There was a dog who barked so much he stood in the way of our love. Was there something deeper? Was Belmont a metaphor? No. Belmont was loud. Far too loud. And when he barked, it set the whole world on edge. He startled the baby. He startled me. He startled her. He startled himself.
There was so much startling going on we started to think he was a starling.
STARTLE
Ouch. My brain is hurting from
"Your feet shall walk upon a plush carpet of contentment"
Ouch ouch ouch ouch ouch ouch ouch ouch ouch ouch ouch ouch ouch ouch ouch ouch ouch
It's vary satisfying, like a plush carpet of contentment, to type ouch ouch ouch ouch ouch ouch ouch ouch ouch ouch ouch ouch ouch ouch ouch ouch ouch ouchouch ouchoucho uch
It becomes less so when you begin to typo.
The dog. The dog the dog. gruff gruff grumble grumble. Numble bumble pumble lumble bumble bumble bee
Plush plush shush shush
SHUSH
I offer him biscuits and he is quiet only while I hold a bisquit before his noze.
Ha. bisquit and noze. That's a good name for an improv team without a good reason to have that name
You know what I still want to name a sketch group?
"With Special Guest, Steve Carell"
We'd start each show with an apology to the audience about how Steve couldn't make it tonight because of some funny reason, and then tell them that one of us will have to fill in for the roles that we'd written for Steve... and then, hopefully we could have fun fulfilling the promise of that premise, and maybe some sketches would mostly not be about that, you know? They'd just be funny on their own, but Steve would have come in to deliver the joke at the end and instead, one of us will have to jump out of character and be him for that.
Oh, I can see the big picture.
and if the tourists were dead
Then no one would... well, no. Face it, the tourists don't come to see improv in L.A. anyways.
Which is crazy, right? There's so much improv in L.A. and tourists just don't go to see it. If I were a tourist in L.A. I would absolutely go to all the improv shows in this city.
It's kooky that folks don't. I mean, seriously.
Seriously.
Seriously.
Wait a second.
Just a goll darn second/ Oh boy I almost said a word/phrase that I've learned not to say. Good heavens/ Spme wow my typoung is getting sloppy at the end here. I wonder if i can finishe all of this wiyouht anymoretioes
I nominate whoever is in this picture that I'm randomly choosing from my camera roll.
Um. That's sausage made out of baby. Probably @honeydue and @ntowl made that. I'm pretty sure they consume human flesh. Therefore I nominate them to also take the Comedy Open Mic challenge.
Hi improv,
Thank you for your entry in to #comedyopenmic comedy contest. We have asked the judges below to review your entry and give it a funny rating. (They generally have no sense of humor, as the saying goes, those that can't do, start contests and judge).
This will determine your ultimate position when the results are tallied. (That being said, you are free to adopt any position you wish - we can recommend pantsless with beer in hand.)

Thank you to @matytan for the great banner
lol very funny. Esp "bisquit and noze. That's a good name for an improv team without a good reason to have that name"... and then the whole part that follows about using Steve Carell's conspicuous absence in the improv group.
And definitely the last bit about @honeydue and @ntowl and the sausage made out of baby!!! XD
You always inspire me and make me laugh and oh the dog! How crazy we can decipher the crazy typos and I love how you tease language and make it fun.

OMG
I laughed so loud first at the Starling Dog
Then the idea of Steve Carrell... it is a great idea...
And if I was in NY, I would come check out Improv... as in you if you had that show about Steve Carrell... because obviously I would be coming for Steve but I'd probably walk out of there forgetting that I had come there for Steve
All the best with Open Mic and I am her to deliver the next prompt
I'm in L.A., actually, not New York! Come here to see improv!
