In this heat, you might think the chilling fear you feel when Krampus is near would be a welcome relief.

It would not be. You'd be hot and cold, like sickness. Your feet would catch fire while you shivered uncontrollably. Every atom in your body would jiggle with an unpleasant tingling. Worse, even than when your limbs are falling asleep. More like the feeling you get as you die.

He comes for your little bear first. You watch as he eviscerates teddy, and the fluff inside teddy becomes a black green ichor that sticks and stinks of tar and rot. A bowl of infested rats, scraggly and wet replaces the milk and cookies you though were there, and their sick sprays across your face when he picks up each wriggling body.

You are doomed, and you'd rather that than endure another instant of this little heat wave? Why not just suck on an ice cube?
