Oh, dog whistles. It used to be a fun idea. The idea of a sound only dogs could hear. But now it carries all the connotations of how racists can say things that only racists can hear. I don’t even know what the phrases are, but I hear about them. I think they’re often things like, “” oh man, I don’t even want to guess. I could look it up. You know what I mean, though, right? Things that maybe seem innocuous, but to the people who are a part of racist culture, they mean, “yeah, people to attack.” I dunno

Ah, the simpler days, when it just mean, a sound dogs could hear because they have better hearing and the humans can’t because they have worse hearing.

Let’s tell a story, shall we? Once upon a time, there was a little Madeleine. She loved being loved by her parents, and she loved playing ball with her brothers. One night, as they were out for their weekly bowling excursion, she noticed her brothers were playing catch with a bowling ball. She wanted to play with them, so she grabbed the nearest bowling ball she could find and hefted it at them both. Well, it plopped just a few few inches in front of her because bowling balls really aren’t made for hefting, but it rolled down the lane, and she got a strike! And her parents made a big deal about the strike, and ultimately everyone lived happily ever after forever. No one ever dies. The end.
