Joni Mitchell said it best.
This is a place for strangers. This is a place for danger seekers. This is a place for love and big trees and finding waterfalls and pretending you're the first.
California. Coming home.
California. California. California. Coming home.
Sweet tears of misty midnights and soft, warm sunsets. Palm trees above buildings or Redwoods amongst redwoods. And farms and beaches. And tragedy and hope. And stars and city lights. Great #freewrite! Just by reading this post it's evident that you have spent a lot of time in California.
I'd love if you checked out my #freewrite for Day 110's prompt "California"! I speak on the many different aspects that make up the state. Let me know what you think in the comments!
Well, I live here.
I really wanted to get an entry in, but I've never been to California, and I've only ever seen it through videos and photos. Living in San Diego was a childhood dream of mine for some reason.
I'm curious about what people's impressions of California are when they've never been. It's so available in media, that everyone forms some sort of impression.
I think that's more effective if there's a comparison element. Like if the expectation met reality, y'know?

So, will you share yours?
Perhaps someday... someday... someday...
I'll wait
