Blue -5minutefreewrite
She never wanted a pony, just the idea of a pony. Something to cuddle when she was feeling blue. It would trot along by her side, and lean against her. Not its entire weight, but just enough that she felt like she was supporting it, and it would love her.
There was a pony in the comic she read every day. A pony that went on adventures and helped her "owner" make life decisions. Lucy.
Lucy was a scaredy-cat pony.
But Jennifer was never scared. She just wanted a pony-like cuddler. But she didn't want to take care of it, and she only wanted it sometimes, and that's not how ponies work, she knew. So she spent the effort she would have spent on taking care of a real pony on building her imagination powers. Now she was really good at imagining things. She could imagine a pony. And this pony, when she was blue, could turn also blue, and they could fly up into the blue, blue sky, faraway from problems, like capitalism and deep-sea over-fishing, and also like when her grandma made her feel bad for doing so much imagining.
Oh so blue!! That grandma!!! :)
