There's a big volcano...

Oh! I know what story to tell. It's one that weighs upon my heart and makes me feel embarrassed. When I was... 16? I was kind of dating this girl. I dunno why I say kind of, except, are you really ever doing anything when you're 16? Anyways. I was in plays with... and it feels weird to say "girl" like I'm supposed to say "woman", but in this circumstance we were both children. I guess we were youth? Young lady? Ugh.

Anyways, I was dating Cloence, who I had been in a play with, and... well the story about the Ash is that I went to Seattle, and while there I bought her a sculpture made from Mt. St. Helens ash. In retrospect, it was a pretty generic gift. But I meant something to me that I had done this, and when I saw her, at the end of our "date" which consisted of my parents dropping me off where her parents dropped her off, I took it out of my bag to give it to her, and I dropped it and it broke, and I was just so embarrassed. I don't even know if I can pinpoint why, other than, my clumsiness had negated any thoughtfulness.
