Drive (5-minute Freewrite)

So we have thumb drive, pen drive, flash drive, hard drive, USB drive, whatever drive which I can never distinguish them well. Just when I thought all these storage evolution is great, here comes Google Drive.

When I first heard about this sort of storage, I just could not wrap my head around it. Believe me, I only totally get it last year. Yes! I know I am slow but well, I am a chemistry and biology graduates. I can tell you all sorts of hormones in us which drives our well-being but not storage drive - you keep your data in something that your eyes can't see. And then there is the Cloud. At least I can see the floppy disc and CD.

My brain could not brain when I first found out about cloud storage. First you got to drive, and then you fly to the cloud. Just some metaphor I created.

Now I store all my photos and videos there. Whether drive or cloud, it is there. Yes, it is debatable whether will they protect your privacy or actually someone else is watching your photos and videos so to sell the information to social media? I am not too sure.

For someone who never even start on Facebook (I will not tell you who is that someone), that someone will just think of Google Drive as Google is someone's name and Drive as the verb. You ask him or her to sync to Cloud, he or she might think of storing water for house usage. Do you get the connection? . Lol.

If you do not know what freewrite is, it is a plan by @mariannewest and @improv to just free flow write out our thoughts, where there is no fear of whether what we write is good or not.
