5-minute Freewrite : What a Yellow day that ends with a yellow song

The day starts with a twist, where the usual coffee is none to be found, but just a cup of lemonade. Mummy is full of energy, so she is in the mood to have fun time involving the children in the preparation of breakfast. Smashing 6 hard-boiled eggs and adding mayo to the egg-white-egg-yolk mixture. Egg sandwich - today's breakfast. Eldest son adds one slice of cheese in his sandwich. Daddy squeezes mustard sauce to his food.

Lunch time we all have fried fish with tumeric and sweet sour pork with pineapples. Followed by mango as our snack. Towards dinner, none of us feel like eating rice, but we all want something light and sweet. So banana pancake is the go. Thereafter we all sit in front of TV to watch Despicable Me, adoring all the small little minions. We also have some drawing and colouring time where we draw and colour ducks, bee, chicks and giraffe. Then we continue to watch Transformers in TV and my son really loves the Bumble Bee.

To end the day, we chit chat a little, tell some stories and sing some song. Our children are happily singing "Day-oh, Day-oh, day light come and me wanna go home. Day, me say day me say day me say day me say day me say day-o, day light come and me wanna go home." Mummy, knowing it is the banana boat song (day-o), continue to sing "Come mister tally man, tally me banana. Day light come and me wanna go home. Lift six foot. Seven Foot. Eight foot punch."
