5-minute Freewrite: Prompt given - Witches

Dinner time is soon and that means I have to get going to cook for family. So I am kind of in hurry to write this prompt. But if I don't it now, later I may not have time for it. Therefore, I just give it a go in a rush manner.
Looking at today's prompt: Witches, I think I am glad I am not like one of the witches I watched in cartoon who cook children for their dinner, and before that, luring children into their candy house for a treat, just so the children can be their feast.
I never really like witches since growing up for the fact all the witches I saw in show portray evil and wickedness. You tell me about witch, the first impression will be ugly looking woman with black attire and pointy hats, plus always with a flying broom with wicked laughter "Nyiakkk ha ha ha ha ha!". Thanks to all the childhood cartoon for giving me this impression.
What else about witch? As I am thinking about cooking dinner now. So my freewrite abit jumbled up. Oh, time is up. 5 minutes!
If you do not know what freewrite is, it is a plan by @mariannewest and @improv to just free flow write out our thoughts, where there is no fear of whether what we write is good or not, just write and write in that 5-minutes-time. Here is the introductory post. Come on, you can start joining and have fun too! ☺
Never stop growing. Never stop learning. Never stop reading. Never stop writing.

How do you get the prompt word from??
From @mariannewest's profile. Everyday she will update a new prompt, a new title. 😎
I agree: witches intrigue me. I wonder if it is because we feel a hidden power and hope someone can tap into it? Or is it just our common myths and stories jumping from the campfire to Steemit? Thanks for your writing.
Hi @wordymouth, really thank you dropping to read my humble freewrite. This is a new journey to me and I finds it really fun yet challenging at the same time.
I think witches are interesting characters, but then again, I love darker figures in general. I hope you get more time next time ;)
Yes i don't like witches too! Haha they give me some kind of eerie feeling. 😂 I remember going to a cultural village in Sabah and there's a real witch/bomoh welcoming the tourists with her own ritual. She wore a black attire covering her head, with satu pucuk of rumput and sprinkle us with water. Hahahaha I spoke in tongue all the way in.😂
