Freewrite prompt - Mango Love

Roger bought a piece of land behind their little farmhouse and plant a whole orchard of mango trees, just because his dear wife loves mangoes! He planted all types of mangoes, just so his wife can have a variety of her favorite fruit.

Rachel and Roger diligently cared and looked after the orchard, watering the trees everyday, giving them the fertilizer they needed, chasing away pests. They love taking strolls in the orchard, as they checked on the progress of the trees. They even named each trees, now that's quite cute.

Years later, the orchard bloomed and of course the trees bear beautiful mangoes, sweet and juicy. Rachel started to think of selling some of them off because she couldn't finish consuming it with Roger. Soon, they also were gifted with the fruit of their love, a lovely baby boy whom they named Marcus. Marcus grew up loving mangoes. It was his first solid food, coincidentally. In their family, whenever they made someone angry and needed to apologize, a mango would work perfectly! To make it more special, Roger sometimes bought a new breed of mango tree back whenever he made Rachel mad.

Marcus had an ambition of opening a shop that sells all kinds of mango food. He bakes too, and his mango cake was really bestselling. At the same time, the mango salad in his shop was really something to die for.

One day, Marcus had a new staff who was also a great mango lover, Monica. Monica invented this new dish called a mango soup, weird but it was unexpectedly nice! Gradually after working together in experimenting new dishes, they too fell in love and were about to get married. He gave her a mango and a ring when he proposed.

At this time, Rachel was diagnosed with the last stage cancer and she was dying. In her last days, she would ask Roger to push her in her wheelchair to still visit every tree in their orchard. She touched each tree and said her goodbyes.

When Marcus and Monica's baby were born, it was the third anniversary of Rachel's death. They decided to give Mango as his middle name to remind themselves of their mom who was the person that started this whole mango love. The orchard continued to expand because Marcus was practising what his parents did.
