5-Minute Freewrite Prompt: Detective

"So, what is the thing that is missing now?" Morton asked as he put on his hat.
"It's my house keys. I'm pretty sure I had it with me just seconds ago," Mum was panicking and ransacking her bag, poured out the whole bag, found a lot of junks but just not the house keys.
"Okay, now when did you realize it's lost?" Morton continued on with his questions calmly.
"Erm, now? Will you stop asking and help me find them?" Mum was seriously impatient with all the questions.
"I am. Calm down Mum. Now where did you last see them?" Morton was not bothered by her impatience.
"I took them out right after I locked the car and I thought I would just hold them but your baby brother needed me to carry him, so I hung it over my fingers. But they fell off, so I passed them to...... "
"Yes, now the question is: Who did you pass them to? " Morton was still asking in a detective manner.
"YOU!!!! Come on, open the door, smartypants. You knew it all along, didn't you? But you just had to do it with all these questions you are learning from the detective movies! It must have been the Sherlock Holmes you watched." Mum was almost losing it.
"Hehe, yeah it is always the first thumb rule to ask the 5W1H questions. You aren't bad, Mum. We figured it out at 4Ws!" Morton exclaimed.
His mum almost facepalmed herself. What have her little boy become? He's been playing detective with her ever since she introduced Sherlock Holmes to Morton. He has become a great reader since then but it is starting to get on her nerves, especially when he could have just open the door!!!! Well, sometimes he's adorable, especially with his 6-year-old voice questioning everyone, it does sound like a little detective wannabe solving every mystery he can find around the house, including wanting to find out who took the trash out, analyzing the "clues" left behind.
Freewrite is a prompt writing initiated by @mariannewest and @improv to write a free-flow post without correcting or editing. I checked out her post to really get what it is before I jumped on the bandwagon. Basically, there is no right or wrong, just let the mind and fingers do their work, to find our creative self and let it come out of us.

Oh! This is awesome! Most kids are actually like this, they ask questions. Can be annoying sometimes especially when it's answer it's far beyond what they could comprehend. You will feel like Awwwwww! It's enough 😂😂😂

This is so cute. And it realistically happens a lot. We teach them something cute and then they use it to make us crazy!!!!
