Ha! Thank you, yes, fitting in backstory without it seeming like you're reading off specs from a mad scientist's instruction manual is definitely an art that I'm trying to learn in telling this story! A prerequisite of good science fiction writing it turns out lol. I'm glad it was subtle :D
I didn't see it coming either... both characters surprised me here.
That's probabaly why it was so subtle! If you had planned it...haha...it might have come out all wrong.
